USS Tarawa Calls to Hobart
The first US warship for over 4 years called to Hobart on May 10th for a rest and receration visit . The amphibious ship USS Tarawa with just over 3000 crew spend 4 days in Hobart taking in the sights and resupplying before heading home to San Deigo. We are pleased to be able to assist the vessels husbanding agents with the supply of provisions and technical stores for the port call.

Queensland Warehouses Expand
We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff to their North Queensland offices at Townsville and Mackay to help with the large increase in business over the past few months. The North Queensland warehouses servicing the ports of Haypoint, Dalrymple Bay, Mackay, Abbot Point, Townsville and Cairns have the most modern provision handling equipment of any Australian shipchandler allowing for delivery of stores to vessels in prime condition.

Tasmanian Shipping Supplies opens new Queensland warehouses
We are pleased to announce the opening of our new North Queensland office in Townsville, the new office is managed by well known industry identity Tony Saldana, The new bonded central office will look after the ports of Cairns, Lucinda, Townsville, Abbot Point, Mackay, Dalyrymple Bay and Hay Point with local warehouses in Cairns and Mackay. Deliveries will be made in the latest refrigerated and crane trucks and vans ensuring produce arrives to the vessel in prime condition. We welcome owners and managers requests for all provisions, bond and technical requirements.

Antarctic Season Hots Up
The 2006 Antarctic season got underway this week with the first voyage of the RSV Aurora Australis to the Australian statio, Macquarie Island, Casey, Mawson and Davis. Voyage one is the main resupply voyage for Mawson and Davis Stations, with Mawson being supplied by fly off for the first time. The French program starts with their call zero voyage in the third week of October.
