Purdon and Featherstone holds the Australian Antarctic Division contract for the supply of foodstuffs for forwarding to the four Australian stations - Casey, Davis, Mawson in Antarctica and subantarctic Macquarie Island. Season 2001/2002 saw the introduction of new packing methods for fresh fruit and vegetables using ozone technology - giving greatly extended shelf life to perishable foodstuffs. Purdon and Featherstone holds the contract to supply of rations to all defence forces - Army, Navy and Airforce operating in Tasmania. This includes the supply state-wide of all rations at ranges, barracks and camps operated by the defence forces.">
